Singles (1992)

Director: Cameron Crowe
Stars: Bridget Fonda, Campbell Scott, Matt Dillon Kyra Sedgwick

A group of twenty-something friends, most of whom live in the same apartment complex, search for love and success in grunge-era Seattle.

Backdropped in the 90’s grunge Seattle, the film exudes youth, freedom, love, and just being carefree. Those films that will bring you back to the past. I had my fair share of the wild life in college, and when I reminisce now, I regret most of it. The irony is, when I see films like this one, it just makes me think why can’t I just live my life that way.

See this film because: (1) it’s good, you’ll love it more if you love 90s music, (2) Alice in Chains, Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) and Eddie Vedder had cameo roles.

“I’m 23. Remember how old 23 seemed when we were younger? I mean I thought people would be travelling in flying cars and I would have 5 kids…here I am 23.” — Janet Livermore,
