To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)

Director: Robert Mulligan
Stars: Gregory Peck, John Megna, Frank Overton

Atticus Finch, a lawyer in the Depression-era South, defends a black man against an undeserved rape charge, and his kids against prejudice.

Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books. I felt like reading the book again, but instead, I decided to just watch the movie, and to be fair with this adaptation, it delivers. The actors were all good, Scout was so cute and very natural. And even though they had to remove lots of events and did not include some characters to compress the novel into a two-hour motion picture, it was all right. 🙂
