Director: Jason Winer
Stars: Russell Brand, Helen Mirren and Jennifer Garner
A drunken playboy stands to lose a wealthy inheritance when he falls for a woman his family doesn’t like.
Arthur is a fresh new look at a classic story, Russell Brand reinvents the role of a lovable billionaire Arthur Bach, an irresponsible charmer who has always relied on two things to get by: his limitless fortune and the good sense of lifelong nanny Hobson (Helen Mirren) to keep him out of trouble.
Now he faces his biggest challenge- choosing between an arranged marriage to ambitious corporate exec Susan (Jennifer Garner), that will ensure his lavish lifestyle, or an uncertain future with the one thing money can’t buy. Naomi (Greta Gerwig), the woman he really loves.
With Naomi’s inspiration and some unconventional help from Hobson, the one person who always believed in him, Arthur will take the most expensive risk of his life and learn what it means to be a man, in this re-imagining of the romantic comedy Arthur. [Copied from the advance screening invi.:p]
Arthur was the laugh much-needed after a week of stress. Yeah, it’s another
boy meets girl rich boy meets commoner , only it took place on lavish settings. Witty and playful. I either laughed or wowed at Arthur’s character all throughout the film. Really, Arthur is the world’s only lovable billionaire. 😉 I’m too lazy to give any more comments, sarreh. Watch it and get envious with Arthur’s magnetic bed. And I will watch the old Arthur film.
